Day 12 - Run Like a Tortoise

It feels so slow...

I think as I run through the park. The smell of saltwater ever present as the wind blows it towards my nostrils.

I'm currently running at a 12 minute pace, barely faster than a walk.

In fact, I am plodding past seniors that have come to walk in the cool air this evening.

They look as I pass. Unsure if I am starting out slow or this is my real pace.

I make it around 20 minutes today before my first walk has to take place to stay in Zone 2.

Progress.

I continue on, reaching one of our bridges that connect the mainland to one of the keys.

"Why not?" I think as I begin my trek upward.

My heart rate stays lower for longer than I think. Only a coupele stops along the way to the peak.

The way down makes me feel invincible.

Maybe I can get on board with this running thing...
