Day 26 - This Running Thing

I'm starting to get...

This running thing.

No weight room training today.

More intensity there means a need for some more rest between sessions.

We're running today.

30 minutes, Zone 2 work. What's new?

Today I start off at a decent pace, working to let my hip loosen up as I begin.

It's getting better, just still tight from the travel.

I actually keep the pace for awhile before my Garmin beeps to tell me I'm out of zone.

I walk until I'm back and then begin again.

Physiological changes are taking place because I am dropping HR quicker and quicker.

The weather is beautiful and I continue to find new places in our neighborhood.

These runs are really helping me clear my mind and gives me time to think.

To say I'm enjoying it is starting to become an understatement.

A 5 minute warm-up, followed by a 20 minute run, then a 5 minute cool-down walk.

Today I cover 2.46 miles during that time with one mile being at a 10 minute pace.

It's not much but it's where I'm at. And it's getting better.

I think I'm staring to have some fun with this...
