Day 31 - On The Road Again
MY JOURNEY

That's It...
I think as I zip up my carry-on suitcase.
It zips easier leaving than it did on my way up. That's a new experience.
This year I'm working on simplifying travel.
Less stuff, more attention to detail, more time for things that matter.
This morning, though, coffee matters.
I roll my bag down the broken sidewalks of Pittsburgh, the wheels hitting raised cracks that have moved from their original pace as the weather has frozen and thawed since their birth.
I reach Convive, a small shop just around the corner from the stadium. Her usual happy face greets me, always smiling behind her dark rimmed glass, silhouetted by curly dark hair.
I order an Americano and sit to sip it while I wait for an Uber.
The morning is cold and gray, which will be much different when I get off the plane.
The plan is to run tonight, post plane trip, post layover, post airport meal.
Pitt to Baltimore goes fast and easy. Now it's off to grab a burger and do some work on my two hour layover.
The mushroom and swiss burger tastes great and I down it with a couple of beers.
Next up, a flight back home.
That part goes quick and I am soon reunited with my wife and pup, the latter hanging out the window as the truck pulls up to the departure doors.
We get home and it's a quick change into running gear.
Post travel run is a choice. Good or bad is up to you.
30 minute later we finish, covering just over 2.5 miles.
It isn't ground breaking but it feels good to be out in the heat and not skip something on a day where excuses abound.
Tomorrow we continue our journey...
