Day 58 - Stop Running

11 am Game Today...

After a long travel day means that the training is going to get pushed to the afternoon.

Some quick Sheetz flatbreads, a shake, and a C4 leads me straight into the field.

Early turnarounds are always tough, especially as I am trying my best to fix my sleep issues.

The mood is great at the field though and the day is bright. The game goes off well, the guys getting the job done.

After the game I hit a fairly brief chest/tri session before heading to a staff dinner.

The dinner is solid, strip steak, great conversation, and as many glasses of water I can find before a 7pm afogato.

I head back to the hotel and still have a run to tackle.

My lower leg is still bumping a bit so after a warm-up and some soft tissue work I head downstairs to the hotel fitness center.

"Fitness Center" should be in quotes because it ain't much. I didn't check it out online before booking and it's going to cost me.

Some old treadmills and ellipticals, some dumbbells up to 40. It ain't much but I have a job to do.

I get on the treadmill and immediately see it's going to be an issue.

The tread is worn, it slips, the speed isn't smooth and it's bouncing all over the place.

I begin my run and soon feel that this is going to be a problem on my leg.

After just 18 minutes I shut it down and jump off.

It's not worth it today and unfortunately the area I'm in at 9pm isn't the one to test the outdoor surroundings.

I'll just make the adjustment later...
