Day 99 - Swim Trip
MY JOURNEY

The YMCA...
Is an unreal value for those of us that travel for a living.
In terms of membership cost, the YMCA is unbeatable in my opinion.
Whether I am in Altoona, Pennsylvania or Dallas, Texas, the Y is there for me with an open pool and a weight room that probably smells a bit too much like sweat.
But today I am in rural Ohio and I am heading down to the Y at 6am to get a swim in before I drive to Indianapolis.
After waking and getting my gear together, only goggles, my swim cap, and a towel today, I get on the road for the 20 minute drive.
I arrive at the Y and check-in.
"Our lifeguard isn't here yet," the front desk attendant says, "But she should be here soon."
30 minutes later and the lifeguard has still not arrived. Time to make a move.
With my rental car on a timeline, I decide to leave and find a Y on the way.
I grab my bags, say my goodbyes, and get on the road.
A quick stop at the gas station to grab a C4, a breakfast sandwich, and some stuffed tots, and I'm on my way.
The drive is relatively free of traffic, and after about an hour, I arrive at the Springfield, OH YMCA.
Quick check in, quick change, quick swim.
The swim isn't great as I'm in a rush but my breathing is getting better.
It has been for some time now but today is a good barometer of exactly where it's at since I am rushed.
Getting back into the car I feel pretty good about the session.
It wasn't anything special, but the fact that I got it in says a lot about where I'm at mentally right now.
Just gotta keep stacking days...
